The Blackberry Torch has integrated GPS and Blackberry Maps application to provide you with constant location based services. It also has both an optical trackpad and slide out Qwerty keyboard in addition to a touch display with onscreen keypads for both landscape and portrait.
The handset has a 5 megapixel camera for image capture and video recording. The image capturing capabilities include continuous auto focus, up to 2 times digital zoom for clarity and image stabilisation, along with 11 different scene modes to select from. There is also a flash for greater lighting when in poor light conditions. Video recording is in VGA resolution and videos can be played back with the Media Player on the large 3.2 inch high resolution display.
The Torch offers a universal search feature which instantly scans all of your folders, apps, websites viewed, emails and more providing a detailed list of possible locations. It also provides Blackberry Messenger which offers a simple chat-style layout and unlimited characters allowing you to have real time endless conversation with a friend. This is all through its visual fluid interface made possible with the Blackberry 6 operating system which it runs.
The handset has enhanced web browser with its updated web browser now offering seasoned fans of the smart phones pinch and zoom touch capabilities when viewing websites, tabs which allow you to switch between webpages and many more features for a great full HTML web experience. The social feeds also now bring Facebook, Twitter and more together into one viewing interface.
The handsets media player meanwhile offers a more streamlined experience compared to its predecessor versions offering album art, new camera modes integrated YouTube and making it easier for you to share your videos and photos with friends.
